Friday 24th March is Red Nose Day Once again Comic Relief is set to raise money for worthwhile causes in the UK and around the world. In school your children will be learning about some of the projects comic relief will support. For example, how comic relief will help to provide education resources for orphaned children in Sierra Leone and also the fight against children dying from Malaria in Africa.
Did you know that since the year 2000 child malaria death rates in Africa have dropped by 71%. So support from comic relief is having a huge impact and saving the lives of many. Unfortunately, 250,000 children under the age of five still die every year despite the fact that we have the tools to prevent this. So please join in the comic fun and raise money for these incredibly deserving charities. On Friday we would like all children to dress in red.
The aim is to make people laugh, so wear a red nose, silly red beard or red hat if you can find one! Please bring a donation and hand this in at the gates. There are free resources to download on the comic relief website to help the children dress up: https://www.rednoseday.com/kids/dress-up
